LYSSIOTIS LAW OFFICE traces back its roots to 1955 when it was established by Renos Lyssiotis, Barrister at Law, Grays Inn, London. Vera Lyssiotis, LLB (HONS), LLM (Bristol), the founders daughter, joined the firm in 1992.

VERA LYSSIOTIS following her graduation in 1987 from the Economic Section of the Acropolis Gymnasium of Nicosia, with 19 7/12 marks out of 20, attended the UNIVERSITY OF LEICESTER in UK and obtained her LL.B degree with award of Honours Class II (i), in July 1990. She completed her Law studies at the UNIVERSITY OF BRISTOL, UK, obtaining her LL.M degree in Commercial Law, in October 1991.
In Cyprus, she worked as a trainee lawyer for the office of the Attorney General and was called to the Cyprus Bar Association in November 1992, ranking 2nd best in her final exams. She then worked in the Law office of Kyriakos Michaelides of Nicosia until 1995, having joined as well in the meantime the Law office of her father Renos Lyssiotis, established in 1955 and the Renos Lyssiotis Trademark Bureau, established in 1961.
In 1993 she became a Partner in the Renos Lyssiotis Trademark Bureau specializing in Intellectual Property. She has written Articles on Copyright Infringement.
From 1996 she runs her own Law office in Nicosia, specializing in Commercial and Corporate Law. Since May 2015 Vera is registered in the Registry of Lawyers Companies of the Cyprus Bar Association, as VERA LYSSIOTIS LLC, under Reg. No. 166.

Apart from her native Greek, Vera is fluent in English and good in the Italian and French languages. Her knowledge in computer is excellent.
Practicing Lawyer till 1956 when arrested by the British colonial Authorities for his role in the liberation struggle of Cyprus (1955-59). Between 1956-58 was a political detainee without trial. In 1958 he returned to his law office and at the same time founded the commercial company “Ledraiki Ltd” and from 1986 became also Director and shareholder of the firm “Xanthos Lyssiotis & Son Ltd”; Owner and Director of “Argus Information Service” (1969), and “Tiffany” Boutique.
In 1995 he was joined in the Law Office by his daughter, Vera Lyssiotis LLB (Hons), LL.M. In 1994 he founded and became Director of “Verlys Nominees Limited”, “V.R.L. Nominees Limited” and “Godus Nominees Limited” three service companies attached to “Vera Lyssiotis LLC”, a Law office incorporated in 2010, under Registration No HE261571.
Partner to Lyssiotis Law Office since 1998, is a key person in relation to Corporate Law. Her main responsibilities are the preparation of contracts and agreements and takes all necessary steps as concern pledge over shares or any other pledge and/or mortgage in a Company. The opening of bank accounts and provision of related services, the maintenance of statutory records (e.g. the register of members, the register of directors and officers, Annual Returns), the Minute Book of the Company and other required records and the issuing of share certificates.
She also specializes, in drafting and reviewing of Power of Attorney, Resolutions, Agreements, notices and agendas, attending and taking minutes of meetings of shareholders, directors and committees. Liaison with those authorized to speak for the Company and its Shareholders and with the Company’s principals, bankers, managers, accountants and auditors.
Last but not least , one of her main responsibilities are the provision of compliance procedures to ensure that Companies comply with the anti-money laundering (AML) legislation (has attended a number of AML seminars). Compliance with KYC requirements and keeping records in the database.
A multilingual team undertakes translations and communication with clients in a variety of languages.
