Cyprus is a highly attractive destination for investors, individuals, and families due to its favourable and transparent tax system, modern legal and regulatory framework, and excellent quality of life. A contemporary global business center
Cyprus has emerged as a thriving international business hub, driven by innovative growth sectors including shipping, real estate, investment, hospitality and tourism, energy, education, filming, and start-ups. These industries have attracted some of the world’s largest corporations to establish a presence on the island. Coupled with diverse investment opportunities across multiple sectors and the advantages offered by the Cyprus Investment Program for foreign investors, Cyprus continues to experience dynamic market expansion and increasing global appeal.
Non-EU immigration to Cyprus
Immigrants from outside Europe, including asylum seekers and economic migrants, are defined by the European Commission as individuals from non-EU countries who establish their usual residence in an EU member state for a period of twelve months or longer.
In Cyprus, strict laws and regulations govern the issuance of entry, residence, and work permits for non-EU citizens. These rules are subject to frequent updates and amendments to reflect changing policies. Generally, all non-EU nationals intending to reside in Cyprus must obtain the appropriate visa before their arrival.
